Minneapolis, Minnesota, In a groundbreaking development poised to revolutionize the automotive and energy sectors, Zimbabwean inventor Maxwell Chikumbutso has unveiled the Saith FEV (Fuel-less Electric Vehicle), the world’s first car powered by a Microsonic Energy Device (MSED). This innovative vehicle is set to be officially launched on February 10, 2025, marking a significant milestone in sustainable transportation.
The Saith FEV operates without traditional fuel sources or the need for recharging. Instead, it utilizes the MSED, a proprietary technology that converts ambient radio frequencies into usable energy, providing an infinite power source for the vehicle. This method allows the car to function continuously without refueling or external charging, a concept that challenges conventional automotive engineering.
Equipped with a 160-kilowatt electric motor, the Saith FEV delivers impressive performance, achieving a top speed of 220 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds in sport mode. Beyond its propulsion system, the vehicle boasts modern features such as self-parking and an advanced driving system, all at an estimated manufacturing cost of only US$14,000 per unit.
The implications of this technology extend far beyond personal transportation. The MSED has the potential to be applied in various fields, from powering mobile devices to providing electricity for homes, all without reliance on traditional power grids. This could be particularly transformative for Africa, where access to reliable electricity remains a challenge in many regions.
Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has recognized the significance of Chikumbutso’s invention, meeting with the inventor to commend his ingenuity.
The government is now exploring avenues to establish a vehicle manufacturing plant within the country, aiming to develop and produce this revolutionary technology locally.
If realized, this initiative could position Zimbabwe as a global leader in next-generation energy solutions, attracting international investors and showcasing the nation’s innovative capabilities.
As the world anticipates the official launch of the Saith FEV on February 10, 2025, the automotive and energy industries are closely monitoring this development. If the vehicle performs as claimed, it could herald a new era of sustainable transportation and energy independence, not only for Africa but for the entire world.
