Kisii Youth President Warns Raila Odinga Against Joining Ruto’s Government

Kisii, Kenya – Kisii Youth President Dennis Mosoti, popularly known as Embura Embe, has urged ODM leader Raila Odinga to reconsider any move to work with President William Ruto’s government, warning that it could tarnish his political legacy.

Speaking during a consultative meeting in Kisii as part of Raila’s nationwide engagements, Mosoti—who is a staunch ODM supporter and a vocal advocate for former Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i—cautioned that aligning with the Kenya Kwanza administration would be a misstep.

“I, as the voice of the youth in this region, urge you to tread carefully and not soil your legacy by joining a failing government,” Mosoti stated.

He further appealed to the former Prime Minister to stand with Kenyans and prioritize the interests of the Omogusii community, which has historically been one of his strongest support bases.

“The Gusii region has always supported Raila, but our people also believe in Dr. Fred Matiang’i, who remains a key political figure and a darling to many in this region,” Mosoti added.

During the meeting, Mosoti also criticized the implementation of the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) and the Social Health Insurance (SHA) programs, arguing that they had led to poor healthcare service delivery.

His remarks come as Raila Odinga continues his tour across various regions, gathering views from Kenyans ahead of his next political move.

The event in Kisii was attended by Kisii Governor Simba Arati, Bomachoge Borabu MP, and nominated MP Hon. Irene Mayaka.
